Art in the Elements is back with nearly twice as many exhibits as our inaugural year! Discover large floral creations on The Mountain at Cranbrook Gardens, attend educational workshops, and meet some of the artists. Register now for Art in the Elements 2018!

Proceeds from this fundraising event will help support the preservation of Cranbrook House & Gardens and the scholarship fund of the American Institute of Floral Designers - North Central Chapter.

This demo will give you a few ideas on what to use to display those lovely blooms; and even some thoughts on using items you may already have on hand. 

Foolproof Flower Care

Laura will demonstrate some fundamental flower care and handling techniques and show you several easy ways to make your fresh bouquets last, whether bought or foraged. All questions are welcome in this lively Q&A meant to demystify flower care and dispel a few 'old florists tales.'

Everyday Bouquets Made Easy

Make the most of your garden blooms by combining them with a few “florist” items. Alice will demonstrate ways to boost your confidence as you put together beautiful, simple styles to enjoy and share with others. Tips on preparing materials using best care and handling methods will be discussed during this demonstration.

Bohemian Look in Your Home

What goes around comes around. Macramé for the modern home. Join Liz as she demonstrates several knot tying techniques to create a macramé plant hanger. She will also lead a discussion about how to incorporate fresh flowers and trendy plants into your surroundings with botanical interior design.

This exhibition is designed by members of the American Institute of Floral Designers - North Central Chapter. AIFD and its worldwide accredited members are in the forefront of the industry in presenting educational design programs and in designing flowers for such renowned events as the Tournament of Roses Parade, Academy Awards and Presidential Inaugurations.

Parking
Parking is available onsite. Additional parking is available across the street at Christ Church Cranbrook.

Accessibility
Cranbrook House & Gardens is a historic facility preserved and maintained as closely as possible to its original design. As such, there are certain natural and artificial surface conditions, such as grass, wood chip, stones, stairs, steep slopes and uneven terrain which can make walking and use of a wheelchair difficult. Assistance for persons using wheelchairs or walkers is recommended.
