Tour Cranbrook Gardens with a trained volunteer to learn about the renowned 40-acre gardens at the former home of George Gough Booth and Ellen Scripps Booth, the philanthropists who founded Cranbrook Educational Community.
Discover the story of the Booths, the history of the property, and the many sculptures and other works of art on the grounds.

Parking is available onsite in our main parking lot and on Lone Pine Road.
Check-in
Please check in at the Cranbrook House Courtyard Garden and provide the docent with the name you used to register to verify admission. There are no tickets for this event. You do not need to print your confirmation (we recommend having it available on your mobile device for reference).
Rain Policy
We may cancel the tour if there is a high probability of inclement weather forecasted during or before each tour. If we decide to cancel the tour, an alert will be placed at the top of our website. In most cases, the cancelation will be posted at least an hour before the tour begins. When possible, guests will also be notified by email.
Refund Policy
Guests will receive a refund if a tour is canceled by Cranbrook due to inclement weather or other reasons. Tours are otherwise nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Additional Information
- Tours will start promptly at their scheduled times. Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes early to allow time to park and check in.
- This is an outdoor walking tour. Guests are encouraged to check the weather forecast and dress comfortably for the conditions.
- Please note that plant identification is not included in this tour.
