Explore Cranbrook House at your leisure on a self-guided visit. Step into rooms where the Booth family entertained, took their meals, and conducted business. View an exquisite ceiling painted with Pompeian scenes, tapestries that are over 500 years old, wood carvings featuring zodiac signs, and more handcrafted artwork throughout the home. 

Volunteer docents will be available to answer questions about the Booths and their treasured estate.

    About Cranbrook House
    Cranbrook House is the former family home of George Gough Booth and Ellen Scripps Booth, the philanthropists who founded Cranbrook Educational Community, a National Historic Landmark. The 1908 English Tudor house was designed by renowned Detroit architect Albert Kahn in the Arts and Crafts style. The home is now the oldest surviving Tudoresque manor in metro Detroit open for public tours.
